The Benifallet Pastisset Race celebrates its tenth anniversary this Sunday, January 27, and will do so by starting the calendar of the Terres de l'Ebre Mountain Racing Circuit again. With 500 participants (187 in the race, 13 in the cadets, 116 in the express, 7 in the juniors and 177 in the march), the race reaches its tenth edition in full form and confirmed as one of the essential tests of the ebrenc circuit. Fent Sendera thanked the trust of the people who will take part in the race this year and the work of the volunteers to make it possible.

Since 2010 Lo Pastisset has been bringing together the ingredients that have made it unique and unrepeatable. Promotion of physical activity, respect for the environment, inexhaustible work to revalue the Serra de Cardó and the municipality of Benifallet and commitment to solidarity. The figures, ten years later, speak for themselves: about 500 registered and 200 volunteers year after year, more than 3,500 euros raised for the fight against cancer and 300 kg of clothing and sports footwear in solidarity. Miles and miles traveled, not only on the day of the race but to finish and clean trails, and hours and hours of selfless dedication to make it possible Lo Pastisset to reach the decade. To celebrate, the organization has planned a handful of surprises throughout the day at the Benifallet summer track.

This year, Lo Pastisset will offer participants four "authentic trail" routes. Lo Pastisset Trail, of 30.4 km and a comulative difference of 3,900 meters, which is the queen modality, the most demanding and the one that goes deeper in the term benifalletenc. It can be scored at te Terres de l'Ebre Mountain Racing Circuit and this year it is the Terres de l'Ebre Cup.

Lo Pastisset Express, of 20.1 km and a cumulative drop of 2,180 meters, a mountain race designed for those athletes who still can not make the "jumo" to a competition above 20 km. It is the route with the most kilometers of the Express Circuit of the Terres de l'Ebre Mountain Racing Circuit.

Lo Pastisset Cadet, of 12.4 km, suitable for all participants in the cadet category (from 16 to 18 years). Scoreable in the Terres de l'Ebre Mountain Racing Circuit, it has a cumulative drop of 1,020 meters.

Finally, La Marxa Lo Pastisset, with a distance of 14.7 km and a cumulative elevation gain of 1,240 meters, which is the non-competitve modality and adapted for all audiences. There are two routes available. Thus, from km 6 participant will be able to choose which one they want to finish.

Another of the added values of this tenth edition of the Pastisset is the participation of elite runners. This ha already confirmed the presence of Jessed Hernández, Ragna Debats and Pere Aurell, from the Inverse team, and others from the winners of previous editions.

SOLIDARITY, THE SEAL OF THE PASTISSET

As for the planned solidarity actions, clothes and sports shoes will be collected for the Red Cross and handmade products will be sold and workshops and activities will be held to fight cancer in collaboration with the League Against Cancer of the counties of Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre.

Please note that participants have the following services: cloakroom, massage area, refreshments, free parking, showers and toilets. In addition to the prizes, gifts will also be distributed and sports equipment and local products will be raffled off. The race will end with the traditional popular mixed pot lunch hosted once again by the Association of Wonder Women of Benifallet. In addition, throughout the day there will be games and inflatables for the little ones and many other surprises to celebrate these ten years.

The Benifallet Cake Race is organized by the Fent Sendera Association in collaboration with Benifallet City Counci. It has a good number of sponsors and there are more than 200 volunteers who will make it possible. We must also thank the collaboration of the municipalities of Pinell de Brai, Xerta and Tivenys.

It should be noted that this year registrations have closed one week before the deadline and that there are more than 70 runners on the waiting list.
