Pere Aurell and Ragna Debats, from Cameta Coixa, have won the Pastisset Race for the second year in a row, which took place this morning in Benifallet and has reached its tenth edition this year. Aurell completed the 30 km of the Lo Pastisset Inverse Trail race with a time of 2 hours, 56 minutes and 59 seconds. Second was Jonatan Cuesta, also from Cameta Coixa with 3:01:34 and the third to arrive was Joan Pol Vilà, from the Mont-roig del Camp School of Athletics, with 3:04:47. In the women's category Ragna Debats set a time of 3:35:36, in second place came Ingrid Ruiz, from the Associació Esportiva Matxacuca, with 3:46:00 and, in third place, Paula Espinach, from La Cameta Lame, with 04:09:29.

In the senior category, the winner was Jonatan Mora, with a time of 03:09:18 and the winner, Sandra Vidiella, who completed the course with 04:25:54 and was also the local champion.

At the 20.1 km Circuit Express, Arnau Aranda was the winner with a time of 01:49:49; in second place, Sergio Coll, with 01:51:49. In the women's category, Fanny Barreda won with 02:28:46, in second place, Marta Gistas, with 02:31:59 and, in third place, Yolanda Freixa, with 02:40:11

In the cadet category, 12.4 km, Alexander Esteban came in first with a time of 01:08:58; in second place, David Rubio, with 01:13:05, and Aleix Bajador was third, with 01:13:34. As for the female cadet, Clara Pagà and Andrea Forés took first place in the same time 02:01:27 and Nerea Sanahuja was second with 02:03:05.

As for the junior category, with a distance of 20.1 km, Pau Lleixà was first with 01:56:59. He was followed by Josep Maria Julve, with 01:59:56 and, and Ramon Beltran, with 02:11:29.

In total, the event, which started the Ebre calendar of mountain races in Terres de l'Ebre, had 500 participants in all competitions. The day was full of many surprises and once again had solidarity as a highlight

The Benifallet Pastisset Race has become one of the essential events of the Terres de l'Ebre Mountain Racing Circuit. And it has done so since 2010 gathering year ingredients that have made it unique and unrepeatable. Promotion of physical activity, respect for the environment, inexhaustible work to revalue the municipality of Benifallet and the Sierra de Cardó, today there was a protest with the slogan "Salvem Cardó", and a clear commitment to solidarity.

As for the solidarity actions, sports clothes and shoes have been collected for the Red Cross and handmade products have been sold. Different activities and workshops have been held to fight cancer in collaboration with the Cancer League of the counties of Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre.

The race ended with the traditional popular mixed pot lunch hosted once again by the Association of Wonder Women of Benifallet and with live music with the group The Bohemian. In addition, throughout the day there were games and inflatables for the little ones.

The Benifallet Cake Race is organized by the Associació Fent Sendera, with the collaboration of Benifallet City Council and a good number of sponsors, and more than 200 volunteers have taken part who have made their realization.
